Adam Winder, MBA, is the President and CEO of SeedTrust and an executive with over fifteen years of experience in financial services. Adam transitioned from banking to SeedTrust because he felt a personal purpose and wanted to leverage his background connection to the to make escrow services more secure and reduce unnecessary financial burdens in the process. After becoming a father, Adam realized that every family should have the opportunity to experience the joy of parenthood. Before becoming a Partner at SeedTrust, Adam led strategy for the commercial line of business at SunTrust Bank and spent over eight years advising middle-market companies. Adam is passionate about giving back and helping others, and has been recognized as a leader in the Surrogacy and Egg Donation industry, serving as the President and now an executive board member of the Society of Ethics in Surrogacy and Egg Donation (SEEDS). Additionally, he serves on the board and as the CFO of Making the Grade – Hope for African Youth. Adam graduated cum laude with Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration and Economics from Bridgewater College. He also holds an MBA from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University, where he graduated Beta Gamma Sigma.

Edward Brockshmidt, C.P.A., MBA, Founder/CFO, has been helping families grow through collaborative processes since 2015. Edward was a managing partner of a successful CPA firm that handled bookkeeping for a surrogacy agency. After witnessing the agency constantly fielding calls from Intended Parents inquiring about their accounts and stressed surrogates inquiring about payments, Edward decided to use his passion for technology to create a simpler, more reliable solution. Since launching SeedTrust®, Edward and his partners have responsibly managed funds for hundreds of intended parents, surrogates, and egg donors. Edward Brockshmidt is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the National Society of Accountants, the FICPA, and the AICPA.

Emily serves as General Counsel for SeedTrust, bringing with her a diverse background of legal experience. Originally from Kentucky, Emily earned her undergraduate degree in Communications from the University of Kentucky before pursuing her law degree in Florida. She now proudly calls Saint Augustine home. Over the course of her career, Emily has built a strong foundation across multiple areas of the law. She has served as a prosecutor, represented the interests of children as a guardian ad litem, and practiced as a civil litigation attorney. When she’s not guiding SeedTrust with her legal expertise, Emily enjoys life on the water with her husband and their two young boys. Whether it’s kayaking through Florida’s waterways or catching waves in the ocean, she treasures the time spent outdoors with her family.

Hannah is originally from the Pacific Northwest, and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon. She spent a year traveling solo around the world, pushing herself out of her comfort zone and gaining valuable insights along the way. After her travels, she earned an MBA in Purposeful Leadership and Innovation at the University of Exeter in the UK, aiming to build a strong foundation in business strategy and operations as an HR business partner. Dedicated to creating a workplace that promotes purpose, engagement, and growth, Hannah is passionate about building equitable, inclusive environments that empower all employees. Over the past six years, she has lived in England, Seattle, and Oakland, and is now settled in Alexandria, VA, with her partner. In her free time, Hannah enjoys spending time with friends and family, being outdoors, and traveling—whether it’s a quick road trip or an international adventure.

Johnny Parker joined SeedTrust with nearly two decades of accounting experience and expertise. He has focused his career on providing accounting systems and reporting solutions to small-business owners. Johnny graduated with a Bachelor’s in Finance from Florida Atlantic University and is an alumnus of Delta Sigma Pi Professional Business Fraternity. Johnny is a relentless perfectionist who strives for the very best. In his free time, Johnny enjoys being with family and friends, watching racing and college football, and having fun outdoors while fishing, hunting, or exploring. He is also a member of the Elks and takes pride in his charity to the community.

Kara brings a wealth of experience to SeedTrust, joining our team in 2024. Graduating with a Marketing Degree, Kara’s journey has taken her through various industries, where she’s picked up invaluable insights and expertise along the way. Having made the move to the picturesque mountains in 2019, Kara has found her sanctuary amidst the beauty of nature. When she’s not championing the SeedTrust brand and its family of companies, you’ll find her embarking on adventures with her two playful rescue pups. Kara is not just an explorer of the great outdoors; she’s also an avid traveler and culture sponge who is a firm believer in uncovering the world’s hidden gems.

Abby Settersten is the Director of Partner Relations at SeedTrust, bringing extensive expertise and dedication to her role. With a background as a Certified Paralegal specializing in assisted reproductive legal matters, Abby earned her Paralegal Certification from the University of San Diego in 2016. Prior to her current position, she managed over a thousand surrogacy and egg donor accounts at SeedTrust. Abby’s passion lies in providing clients with transparent and secure escrow solutions, minimizing risks for intended parents, surrogates, egg donors, and agencies. Abby currently resides in Texas with her husband and dog, Dolly. When she’s not assisting clients, she enjoys exploring all that the city of Austin has to offer. Whether it’s discovering new restaurants, attending events, or simply enjoying the great outdoors. Additionally, she loves spending quality time with her family and friends.

Kaitlyn has over 8 years of experience within the ART industry having begun Kaitlyn Oberley, is a graduate from Troy University and holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology and an ABA certificate in Paralegal studies from the University of California, San Diego. her paralegal career at The Surrogacy Law Center and then joining SeedTrust Escrow in 2019. While at SeedTrust, she has carefully guided families through the escrow process during their surrogacy and egg donor journeys. She thoroughly enjoys working with intended parents, surrogates and their agencies and is committed to providing expertise surrounding escrow best practices. Kaitlyn resides in San Diego, California and is the mother of 2 young children who keep her very busy. She enjoys hiking with her family and all things outdoors. She has a deep appreciation for how lucky she is to be a mother and endeavors to help other individuals experience her same love and joy by becoming parents through third-party fertility.

Jennifer Via is a graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University, holding a Bachelor of Science Degree in Legal Studies. While she has lived on both east and west coasts of the United States, she is Florida. currently settled in the sunny gulf coast of University. With more than ten years of experience in legal and administrative positions, Jennifer has devoted most of her time exclusively to Assisted Reproductive Law, showcasing her passion and expertise in this specialized field. She is dedicated to providing outstanding customer service to clients, ensuring they receive comprehensive support and guidance throughout the entire escrow process. Beyond her professional endeavors, Jennifer is passionate about supporting animal rescues and is currently owned by two rescue Belgian Malinois. She enjoys spending time outdoors and is always looking for the next adventure, fun place to visit or new food to try.

Kristine Young, an operations professional with a unique combination of academic excellence and practical experience, joins us from Kansas City, MO. After graduating in 2013, she achieved a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, further supplementing this foundation with a Master of Business Administration in 2015. Bringing eleven years of experience, Kristine has spent seven of those years engrossed in the industry, showcasing her financial acumen and strategic planning abilities. She has navigated complex financial landscapes with ease and has a proven track record of driving operational efficiency. When not juggling numbers, Kristine indulges in a variety of hobbies that keep her very busy! She loves traveling, reading, photography, live music and sports. Above all, her favorite pastime is cheering on her son from the sidelines at his many sporting events.

Kelly is a graduate of Lehigh University and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Economics. As one of the former co-owners of Stork Escrow, Kelly comes to SeedTrust with over 12 years of experience in the assisted reproductive industry and a reproductive industry and a passion of helping others. Kelly has also enjoyed independently servicing the accounting needs of small businesses in and around Boston for the past 15 years.
