I do not recommend SDFC for anyone looking for thorough fertility treatment. The doctors are very kind during your consultation, but do not give you much information unless you sign up for a treatment immediately. They are motivated by money rather than the best path towards success. Their bedside manner is not kind and they do not tolerate asking questions. I have shown my test results to other fertility clinics who were shocked that SDFC missed so much information in what was being show in my labs. The person you will speak with most at SDFC is their financial department sending you estimates and bills. Your money is better spent at an intentional clinic that will actually listen to you.

Overall, I had a terrific experience with San Diego Fertility. I am a gay single man who was creating embryos with an egg donor to use with a surrogate. Dr. Park was fantastic - one of the warmest and sensible doctors I've ever talked to. The only issue I would say was challenging at times was that Dr. Park did not give out a phone number to reach her. I understand the privacy issue involved, but it was challenging to reach her when I had a question or two. There were also a few times where the assistant(s) were not clued in on decisions made and sent out emails that did not represent the current situation. My experience of being at SDFC for the first embryo transfer was great! They gave me a tour of the place, and everyone was extremely warm, professional and friendly. My surrogate also said she was treated well there when I wasn't present.

A truly terrible place that I am thankful I will never have to return to! Here's just a few of my complaints: 1. Dr doesn't remember your name or your diagnosis despite seeing you for 3 consecutive treatment cycles 2. Given conflicting advice from the same Dr during my out- of-pocket consults 3. Never actually see the Dr during treatment cycles- all scans and procedures done by NP/PA/ultrasound tech (and never the same one, so no consistency there! 4. Overcrowded wait rooms with glass doors so you can see into everyone's consultations 5. Double charged for my procedure and given a "credit to my account" despite not receiving treatment there anymore. + many more that I will choose to keep to myself in hopes that it was just my isolated experience. Going through infertility is a truly agonizing experience. I pray for those who need to seek out these types of services. I hope you have experiences better than mine. I am having wonderful success and a great experience at HRC Fertility in San Diego if anyone is looking to make the switch!
