Dr Andreas Mavrides is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist. He studied, and was fully trained, in the UK. He received his secondary education at The English School, Nicosia and following his military service graduated from Guy’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine, London, in 1996. Between 1996 and 2006 he trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, under the guidance of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG). In 1997 he gained the Diploma in Family Planning (DFFP), which is a Faculty of the RCOG. In 2000 he was awarded from Nottingham University his Masters of Medical Sciences in Assisted Reproduction Technologies, with distinction, and until 2003 continued his training in the fields of subfertility and assisted reproduction techniques at the Sheffield Fertility Centre. This was followed by further specialisation at the Reproductive Unit of Hammersmith Hospital in London, where he worked as a Lecturer and Research Fellow where he gained considerable experience by working alongside some of the leaders in the field of Reproductive Medicine and Surgery. In 2001 he was appointed as Specialist Registrar at the London Deanery, a position that enabled him to acquire considerable experience in all aspects of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and, more specifically, endoscopic surgery for fertility and other gynaecological indications. He is an advanced laparoscopic surgeon, using keyhole surgery techniques to perform procedures such as the removal of ovarian cysts, treatment of polycystic ovaries, removal / repair of tubes, hysterectomies etc. In 2002 he became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG), and from 2004 worked as a Senior Registrar at St George’s Hospital in London. St George’s is one of the busiest hospitals in the UK with approximately 6,000 deliveries a year, including high risk pregnancies. It is one of the UK’s leading centres for Gynaecological oncology where complex gynaecological surgery is performed. He is currently working in a Consultant capacity and is a member of the British Fertility Society (BFS) and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Endocrinology (ESHRE).

Dr Sozos Fasouliotis received his M.D. Degree with Excellence from the University of Athens, School of Medicine in July 1994. Following a one-year internship (9/1994-9/1995) in General Surgery at the University of Athens, 1st Surgical Department, Laiko University Hospital, Athens, Greece, he was accepted in November 1995 as a full time resident at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Hadassah University Hospital, Jerusalem, Israel for a six-year period. Through the six years of his training, Dr Fasouliotis fulfilled successfully all the tasks, clinical or academic, set to him during his rotations in all the units of the department, and passed with high scores the specialization exams of the Israeli, as well as, of the Greek Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, fulfilling thus all the requirements for attaining specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Israel and Greece. At the completion of his residency in November 2001, Dr Fasouliotis continued to work at the Hadassah University Hospital, in the In-Vitro Fertilization Unit of the OB/GYN Department until June 30, 2002. From July 1, 2002, Dr Fasouliotis started performing a Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Center for Reproductive Medicine andInfertility, at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University, in New York, USA which was completed successfully on June 30, 2004. Through the years of training in these two major clinical centers, Dr Fasouliotis has been exposed to a vast amount of clinical and surgical (including advanced laparoscopic surgery) cases, both in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology and in the field of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility which enabled him to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills required for performing the appropriate evaluation and therapy. Furthermore, the performance of his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as his sub-specialization in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility in two major university hospitals with strong academic orientation, has provided him the opportunity for participating and performing many clinical and research studies, the results of which have been presented in international and local medical conferences, as well as published in international medical journals. Following his return to Cyprus, Dr Fasouliotis has joined initially the Nicosia Polyclinic and afterwards the Ledra Clinic, where he co-founded with success the Ledra Embryogenesis IVF Center. Since 1/2009 he has been working as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Infertility at the ISIS Medical Center.

Dr Dr Solon Alexander Riris has spent the last 18 years in London. He is a graduate form University College London (UCL) and has specialised in some of the most prominent London teaching hospitals over the past 12 years. These include, University College Hospital, Kings College London, Chelsea and Westminster and St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington. He has successfully achieved the completion of specialist training in London (CCST). He practises advanced obstetrics , is a believer of natural childbirth and has a low caesarean section rate. He has managed many patients with complex medical conditions such as severe pre-eclampsia and poorly controlled diabetes and also delivered normally many patients who had a previous caesarean section and twins. He has spent four years at CRGH (Centre for Reproductive and Genetic Health) which is one of the leading Fertility units in London. He has vast experience in managing complex subfertility cases and ensures that his patients are at the centre of any medical decision and IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation) care plan. Low dose stimulation and natural cycle IVF are employed where possible to reduce the potential risk of ovarian hyperstimulation. Having worked at several endometriosis centres Dr Riris is an advanced laparoscopic surgeon and has performed a large number of Laparoscopic procedures such as myomectomies, hysterectomies and removing large ovarian cysts and complex endometriosis. His time at the Royal Marsden Hospital in central London means he has experience in managing oncology cases and he has developed his skills further by using the Davinci Surgical Robot (Xi). He uses the best ultrasound technology available to help diagnose various gynaecological pathologies with 3D and 4D ultrasound. As a member of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (MRCOG) and European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) he practised evidence based medicine ensuring patients receive high level care.
