I’m approaching 43, and we’re incredibly grateful for our experience with Dr. Wood and the team at Gen5. Throughout the entire journey, Dr. Wood and the team continued to encourage me and helped me build confidence. After three cycles, we were able to achieve two beautiful euploid embryos—one female and one male (graded 4AA and 4BB). This truly means so much to us, and we couldn’t be more thankful. During the initial consultation, Dr. Wood and Fan really impressed me. They took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly and provided clear, thoughtful medical guidance, which made me feel confident moving forward from the very beginning. Before the cycle even started, my pre-cycle coordinator Jean was already incredibly helpful. She carefully followed my hormone levels and bloodwork, and provided detailed guidance on my pretreatment plan. Everything was clearly explained and closely monitored, which made the whole process feel very organized and reassuring. During the cycle, my coordinator Luna was amazing. She was always attentive, responsive, and genuinely caring. This process can feel overwhelming at times, but she made it much easier and more comfortable. I really appreciated how supported I felt throughout. I would also like to especially thank my surgical nurse, Mary, for her exceptional care and professionalism. She looked after me with such attentiveness and kindness, and I truly felt I was in very capable and reassuring hands throughout the procedure. And of course, I’m especially thankful to Dr. Wood. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced, and I always felt that he truly understood my situation and made the best decisions for me. Because of the great results we’ve had, I would absolutely consider coming back to Gen5 for additional cycles in the future. Overall, I’m very thankful to the entire Gen5 team. Choosing a fertility clinic isn't a decision I took lightly, and a few months into my treatment at Gen5, I already feel strongly enough about the experience to share it. Luna, my coordinator, has become someone I rely on more than I expected; she keeps every detail of my cycle organized, reaches out at exactly the right moments, and somehow makes the logistical side of treatment feel manageable, which is no small thing when you're emotionally running on fumes. My earliest interactions were with Jean and Fan, who answered what felt like an endless stream of questions from me with so much patience that I still think about it — they're the reason I felt comfortable enough to even book my first consultation. Jinger handles my blood draws and has quickly become a bright spot in my week; she's quick, precise, and genuinely kind, and if you've done any kind of fertility treatment you know that finding a phlebotomist like her is a small miracle. On procedure day, I was more nervous than I'd admitted to anyone, and Mary, the OR nurse, completely changed that — her warmth and steadiness in those last few minutes are something I know I'll remember for a long time. What sets Gen5 apart isn't just that they're clinically excellent (they are), it's that every person on the team seems to actually understand what patients are going through emotionally, and they show up for you accordingly. Dr. Adams is our Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) Scientific Director and she is truly one of the best in the world. Among other honors, she is a certified High Complexity Laboratory Director (HCLD) in Embryology by the American Board of Bioanalysts (ABB). She was born and raised in Great Britain and received her Ph.D. in Mammalian Embryology from one of the leading educational institutions in the world, Cambridge University (England). Dr. Adams’ graduate research involved the deconstruction and reconstruction of blastocysts, work that provided a strong basis for her many years of outstanding work in multiple IVF laboratories. Dr. Adams was among the first to do many IVF laboratory procedures, including performing one of the first successful frozen embryo transfers in the U.S. in 1986. With more than 30 years experience, she deals with even the most challenging cases with aplomb. Her many skills, including complicated micro-manipulation, are legendary. Unlike the vast majority of Ph.D. level embryologists, she remains active in the IVF laboratory and personally performs or oversees virtually all complicated laboratory procedures. Molly Chen-Chu is our Assistant IVF Laboratory Director. This extraordinarily talented embryologist has earned the honor of being a certified Technical Supervisor (TS) in Embryology by the American Board of Bioanalysts (ABB). We are extremely pleased to have someone with such a diverse and extensive experience as part of the Gen 5 Fertility team. Molly grew up in Taipei, the capital city of Taiwan, near the famous Taipei 101. Her academic background is most impressive. She completed her laboratory education with a Master of Science from Taipei Medical University and subsequently received a Master of Health Administration (M.H.A.) from the prestigious program at the University of Southern California (USC) finishing with a GPA of 4.0. She has over 20 years of experience in IVF from programs in Taiwan, Singapore and, for the last 10 years, in the United States. Molly has outstanding skills in all areas of the assisted reproductive technologies and is renowned particularly in the areas of egg freezing and mini-IVF. She specializes in helping patients that other fertility centers have given up on because of their low prognosis. She does not give up on her patients and is with them throughout their journey to parenthood. She is tirelessly dedicated to her patients and has personally conducted over 2,500 IVF cycles in a single year.
Khadija Damji, BScN, RN, MSN, FNP-C, is a AANP Board Certified Nurse Practitioner who has specialized her training in women’s health and reproductive care. Khadija earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Toronto Metropolitan University. She then went on to complete specialization certification in reproductive endocrinology and infertility nursing as well as obstetrical nursing. Ambitious to further her learning, she went on to complete her Master of Nursing in the Nurse Practitioner stream at Athabasca University. With 10 years of experience, Khadija has worked with women seeking sexual health care, pre-conception counseling, labour and delivery, postpartum care through to menopausal management but has found her truest passion in caring for patients facing infertility.
