This fertility center truly broke my heart. I cried so hard I could hardly breathe. Here’s the story: the customer service is amazing, the doctors are amazing, and everyone is extremely kind. However, my husband and I have been trying to conceive and discovered that I had endometriosis, for which I received extensive treatment. Recently, I started a new job that covers IVF. We found this clinic and went through all the initial tests needed to start the process. I informed them that I wanted to conceive immediately and that I had limited funds, so I needed my insurance to cover as much as possible. I also mentioned that my husband and I are in the process of building a home. I explained this numerous times, and everyone said they completely understood. We paid for all the initial tests and consultations. During our final consultation with Dr. K, we discussed the plan to start IVF. However, when it came to finances, they sent us a large bill stating that our insurance company was not partnered with their clinic, and it would cost about $16,000 out-of-pocket. This truly broke my heart. We had been upfront from the beginning, stating that we needed to know the costs and whether our insurance would cover the procedures. We were told our insurance was covering, with just small co-pays, which we found acceptable. But hearing that our insurance was never a provider for their clinic only after we had gone through the entire process was devastating. While I believe the clinic and its staff are absolutely amazing, this lack of upfront communication left us feeling heartbroken and frustrated. We could have handled this differently if we had known the truth from the start.
My experience with The Fertility Center of Las Vegas was unfortunately very disappointing, and I feel it's important to share it so that other women can make an informed choice. I began my journey full of hope, accompanied by Romain Taillandier, the French coordinator, and monitored by Dr. Kaye. Everything went well until the retrieval. Unfortunately, no embryos survived. At that point, I received a technical explanation of the result, but no real human support. And I'm not even talking about the lack of tact in the messages. The most shocking thing was what followed: As soon as I told Romain that I didn't know if I could continue financially, silence fell. No further follow-up, no emails, no attention. Even my last message to Dr. Kaye went unanswered. No one bothered to ask me how I was doing after this setback. And above all, no one ever spoke to me about the possibility of failure. I felt that as long as I was a "profitable" patient, I existed, but that from the moment there was no longer any prospect of payment, I was no longer worth responding to. In a journey as intimate, painful, and full of hope as IVF, this is unacceptable. I don't question medical competence, but the total lack of humanity and consideration deeply marked my experience. A fertility center should, above all, understand that beyond the numbers, there are women, stories, and dreams of motherhood. I sincerely hope that this testimony will be read, understood, and that it will help other patients choose a place where compassion doesn't stop at the quote.
They're only interested in dollars. Once the money is collected, if there are no results, they tell you it's your fault. Run away from this clinic and their false promises. You'll be taken care of by a Frenchman who will put you at ease by talking about his experience. Be careful!
