Dr. Schoolcraft is no longer seeing patients. Dr. William Schoolcraft is the Founder and Chief Medical Officer of CCRM Fertility. For over 35 years, Dr. Schoolcraft and his colleagues have helped families conceive more than 100,000 babies through fertility treatments. CCRM Fertility has pioneered significant research breakthroughs in IVF, including in vitro culture of human embryos to the blastocyst stage, novel protocols for the treatment of poor responders, and blastocyst comprehensive chromosome screening (CCS). He has an extensive background in IVF treatment, IUI treatment, PCOS treatment, gestational surrogacy, and many other areas. Dr. Schoolcraft completed his medical training at the University of Kansas and finished his residency in obstetrics and gynecology in 1983 at UCLA. After his fellowship at UCLA under the direction of Dr. David Meldrum, one of the pioneers in the field of IVF, Dr. Schoolcraft established CCRM. Within its first five years of operation, Dr. Schoolcraft had begun to develop a national reputation for excellence in both pregnancy and delivery rates. Considered a leading authority on fertility, Dr. Schoolcraft has been interviewed by The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Denver Post, Men’s Health, Today.com, and has appeared as a fertility expert on numerous television programs, including Good Morning America, The Doctors and multiple Colorado news programs. Dr. Schoolcraft is also the author of the books “Your Fertility. Your Family.: The Many Roads to Conception” and “If At First You Don’t Conceive: A Complete Guide to Infertility from One of the Nation’s Leading Clinics.” Dr. Schoolcraft has authored countless international peer-reviewed scientific articles, which have documented the Center’s high success rates including novel methods to stimulate multiple follicular growth, blastocyst comprehensive chromosomal screening, single blastocyst transfers, novel protocols for the treatment of poor responders and vitrification methods for oocyte and embryo cryopreservation. For 22 years in a row, 5280 Magazine has named Dr. Schoolcraft a “Top Doctor” in the state of Colorado. Dr. Schoolcraft is also one of a handful of physicians that is Board Certified by the American Board of Bioanalysis as a high complexity clinical laboratory director. Dr. Schoolcraft has also been named Castle Connolly Top Doctor since 2005 in Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility.

Dr. Surrey practices Monday through Friday at the CCRM Colorado Main Center in Lone Tree and alternating Tuesdays from 8am-11:30am at the Colorado Springs Office. Dr. Eric Surrey is a Board Certified Reproductive Endocrinologist who completed his residency and fellowship training in the Department of OB-GYN at the UCLA School of Medicine in Los Angeles, California. Prior to joining CCRM in 1999, Dr. Surrey was an Associate Clinical Professor of OB-GYN at UCLA and had been director of the Division of Reproductive Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the Assisted Reproductive Technologies Program at Century City Hospital in Los Angeles. He is past President of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology, Society of Reproductive Surgeons and the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society and currently serves on the Executive Council of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology. Dr. Surrey has authored more than 125 peer reviewed articles and invited publications, and he has presented on more than 135 abstracts at national and international meetings on the subjects of infertility, endometriosis, and multiple aspects of the assisted reproductive technologies including their relationship to reproductive surgery and the management of the poor responder. He is also a member of the What to Expect medical review board. Dr. Surrey has been named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor since 2000 in Reproductive Endocrinology and was also selected as one of America’s Top Doctors for Women by Women’s Health Magazine in November 2008.

Dr. Gustofson practices Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at the Louisville office and Tuesday at the CCRM Colorado Main Center in Lone Tree. Robert L. Gustofson, M.D., a Board Certified Reproductive Endocrinologist, joined the Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine medical team in 2006. He completed his medical training at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida in 1999 and conducted his residency as the administrative Chief Resident in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in 2003. He then pursued a subspecialty fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. In addition, he served as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences from 2003 – 2006. During his training, he received multiple scholarships for academic and clinical achievements; numerous awards for medical student and resident education; and recognition for excellence in clinical research. Dr. Gustofson has been named Castle Connolly 2021-2024 Top Doctor in Reproductive Endocrinology. He remains actively involved in clinical research to advance the field of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. Gustofson has published several peer-reviewed journal articles on novel ovarian stimulation protocols and endometriosis. Additionally, he has presented at national meetings on a wide variety of topics including ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome and clinical predictors of assisted reproductive technology success. Dr. Gustofson is certified in robotic surgery with da Vinci Robotic system.

Dr. Kondapalli practices Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at the Denver office and Thursday at the CCRM Colorado Main Center in Lone Tree. Dr. Laxmi Kondapalli is an award-wining, board certified reproductive endocrinologist at CCRM Fertility in Colorado. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan and received her medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine where she was the recipient of the Carbee Award. During her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University, she received the Michael Newton Award for Clinical Excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Following residency, she remained at Northwestern and completed a post-doctoral research fellowship in reproductive biology. She explored the long-term consequences of cancer therapy on ovarian function and fertility, with a particular focus on improving fertility preservation options for cancer patients. Dr. Kondapalli completed her Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship and received a Master of Science degree in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Pennsylvania in 2011. While a fellow, she received the NIH Reproductive Epidemiology Training Grant and conducted a prospective cohort study examining metabolic and developmental outcomes in children conceived by assisted reproduction compared to spontaneous conceptions. Her research interests center on fertility preservation, ovarian response to medical therapies, and assisted reproduction outcomes. Her efforts in these fields are featured on the Oncofertility Consortium’s website. Dr. Kondapalli is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and the subspecialty Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, and is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. For the last three years (2018-2020), Dr. Kondapalli received the designation of “Top Doctor” in the state of Colorado by 5280 Magazine. She was also named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor from 2019-2024 and designated an Exceptional Woman in Medicine.

Dr. Barton practices Monday at CCRM Colorado Main Center in Lone Tree, Tuesday-Thursday and every other Friday at the Denver Office. Dr. Sara Barton joined CCRM in June 2016. She is double Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She earned her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine where she graduated with honors and achieved the highest academic standing in her class. She then went on to complete her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Harvard combined residency program and stayed at Harvard to pursue a three year fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Prior to joining CCRM, Dr. Barton was in private practice in Omaha Nebraska and she also held an academic appointment as Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. Dr. Barton has published multiple articles and book chapters in the field of reproductive endocrinology, primarily in the area of fertility preservation and fertility in cancer survivors. She has been honored with awards for her academic achievement, resident teaching, and contributions to women’s health. She has special interests in fertility preservation, assisting same sex couples with fertility options, and optimal stimulation protocols for assisted reproduction. Dr. Barton has been named Castle Connolly 2021-2024 Top Doctor in Reproductive Endocrinology. Dr. Barton is proficient in Spanish.

Dr. Ehrhart practices Monday – Friday at the CCRM Colorado Main Center in Lone Tree and alternating Tuesdays from 8am-11:30am at the Colorado Springs Office. Dr. Lauren Ross Ehrhart joined the Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine in September of 2016 and is board-certified in both reproductive endocrinology and infertility and obstetrics and gynecology. She completed her subspecialty fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles in June of 2016. Dr. Ross Ehrhart earned her medical degree at Chicago Medical School after attending Dartmouth College for her undergraduate degree. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Colorado. She has won multiple academic and teaching awards including a Presidential Scholar Award at Dartmouth College and induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Ross Ehrhart has numerous publications and presentations in a diverse range of research which have earned her national recognition. This includes work in fertility preservation, egg donation, treatment of women with diminished ovarian reserve, and vitamin D supplementation. Dr. Ross Ehrhart happily returns to Denver having been trained in all areas of assisted reproductive technologies including in vitro fertilization, superovulation, intrauterine insemination, and reproductive surgeries. She has a particular interest in diminished ovarian reserve, fertility preservation including elective egg freezing, and third party reproduction. Dr. Ross Ehrhart has been named Castle Connolly 2021-2024 Top Doctor in Reproductive Endocrinology.

Melanie Bentley, WHNP-BC, earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado Health Science Center. She then continued her studies at the University of Colorado to complete her Master of Science as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Melanie has over 20 years of experience working in obstetrics and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Since joining CCRM Fertility in 2021, Melanie’s responsibilities include endometrial biopsies, intrauterine inseminations (IUI), OB care up to 10 weeks, assisting with HSGs, counseling patients on various fertility treatments, including new patients seeking care for IUIs, fertility assessment, fertility preservation, same-sex family building and more. Melanie currently provides care as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner at CCRM Fertility of Lone Tree, CO.

Katherine Boston, Nurse Practitioner, earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Louisiana State University Health Science Center. Prior to joining CCRM Fertility in 2022, Katherine had over four years of practice as a Nurse Practitioner, including prior experience in Urogynecology. Katherine’s practice at CCRM consists of performing a variety of gynecological procedures, including intrauterine inseminations (IUIs), endometrial biopsies and pre-operative and post-operative consultations, as well as the management of first trimester obstetrical care once pregnancy is achieved. In her free time, Katherine likes spending time outdoors, skiing, hiking and fishing. She enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband and dog. Katherine currently cares for patients as a Nurse Practitioner at our CCRM Fertility of Denver, CO location.

Sarah Gallegos, CNM, earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Denver in 2005. She then went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Regis University in Colorado in 2009. Sarah continued her education by completing the Master of Science in Nursing, with licensing as a Certified Nurse Midwife from Frontier Nursing University in 2021. Sarah has been with CCRM Fertility since 2015. She initially worked as an in vitro fertilization (IVF) Nurse Coordinator for Dr. Schoolcraft, expanded to work as a weekend lead nurse and coordinator and now currently functions as an advanced practice provider. Sarah’s responsibilities include counseling patients on various fertility treatments, performing monitoring, intrauterine inseminations (IUI), endometrial biopsies, risk assessment physicals, IVF physicals and more. Sarah currently cares for patients at the CCRM Fertility of Lone Tree, CO location.

Julia Kameisha, FNP-C, earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Maine in the Family Nurse Practitioner program. She previously attended Syracuse University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Science. Prior to joining CCRM, Julia worked in obstetrics and gynecology in the outpatient setting. Julia’s practice at CCRM includes management of first trimester obstetrical care, physical exams, pre and post-op consults, intrauterine inseminations (IUIs), endometrial biopsies, and more. She considers it an honor to be part of her patients’ journeys in fertility and family planning. In her free time, Julia enjoys making pottery and getting outside with her dog, Cashew. Julia currently cares for patients as a Nurse Practitioner at our CCRM Fertility of Louisville, CO location.

Julie Marshall, WHNP-BC, earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry at University of Tennessee. She then continued her studies at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and completed her Master of Nursing in the Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program. Since joining CCRM Fertility in 1999, Julie’s responsibilities include intrauterine inseminations (IUI), endometrial biopsies, OB care up to 10 weeks, assisting with HSGs, counseling patients on various fertility treatments, including new patients seeking care for IUIs, fertility assessment, fertility preservation, same-sex family building, and more. Julie sees patients at our CCRM Fertility of Lone Tree, CO location.

Erin Quinn, WHNP, earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Wisconsin. She then continued her studies at The University of Colorado and completed her Master of Nursing in the Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program. Erin began her career with CCRM Fertility in 2009 as an IVF Nurse Coordinator. In 2012, she moved into the Nurse Practitioner role and now has over a decade of experience in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Erin’s current responsibilities include a variety of gynecological procedures, including intrauterine inseminations (IUI), endometrial biopsies and pre-operative and post-operative consultations, as well as the management of first trimester obstetrical care once pregnancy is achieved. In her free time, Erin enjoys traveling abroad and exploring all of Colorado’s outdoor activities, including skiing and hiking. Erin currently cares for patients as a Nurse Practitioner at CCRM Fertility of Denver and Louisville.
