I had Roots as my agency for my 1st surrogacy experience. They went above and beyond and even kept in contact after delivering my surro girl. I am with them for my second journey they have been on top of everything, communication on what steps are next. They keep in contact and give me updates. This company is amazing and I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you Roots you ladies are INCREDIBLE and I couldn't imagine doing this journey with anyone else.
We had a terrible experience with this agency. We worked with them for 2 years (having started with ready high graded embryos) and after that many years didn't even get to the transfer stage. They kept providing us with GCs who had medical issues over and over again and even tried to pressure us into using one against our doctor's advice. We ended up breaking the contract, out $30k with nothing to show for it. The owner's attitude was judgy and inappropriate, always blaming us and never taking responsibility for her agency's mistakes. In the end, she tried to shame us for choosing to go international instead of continuing with her agency - when we went international we got a baby within 10 months, at less than half of what she charged. My only regret is ever trying to do it with Roots.
I am a second time surrogate with roots surrogacy. Roots surrogacy is the best! Had no issues at all they make the process so easy. They are so helpful and supportive throughout the entire pregnancy and even months after having the baby they would still text to check in on how I’m doing! Brooke Kimbrough is a mother of four children and a surrogate of one. She is a founding partner of Roots Surrogacy. A former agency owner, Brooke enters into the arena with the experience of both international and domestic surrogacy. Professionally, she has been a part of journeys that vary from HIV+ parents to concurrent sibling journeys and everything in between. Brooke brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and personal connectivity to the agency. In her personal journey, Brooke was a gestational carrier for a single, gay dad in San Francisco. Throughout the process, she found an incredible amount of joy in helping another family, but also in the ways surrogacy changed the perspective of her own family. She remains close friends with her intended father and enjoys spoiling her little surro girl when they see each other. Brooke has a degree and background in Business Management. She is a member of SEEDS and ASRM and is an active ally in the LGBTQ community. She lives in Sacramento, California with her loving husband and family and enjoys cycling, running and a good glass of wine.
Cassie received her law degree from the University of San Francisco and her undergraduate degree from the University of California at San Diego. She began her law career specializing in negotiating and drafting contracts and litigating contract related disputes. Following her own journey through infertility, she transitioned her practice into the area of Assisted Reproductive Technology where she represented clients in the area of fertility including intended parents and surrogates. After enduring several years of fertility treatments, miscarriages and late term pregnancy loss, she became committed to helping ease the burden of those going through what can often be one of the most challenging periods of their lives. As a co-owner of Roots Surrogacy, she dedicates her work to helping people build and grow their families. Cassie and her husband live in the Bay Area and have one son through IVF.
