Counselling & Support
Genesis Rising wasted months of our time and $6,000+ with no service provided. Deceptive Billing: Told us to fund escrow for "medical screening." Charged $2,000 for "screening" (which is actually a matching fee on top of their agency fee). Months later, IVF clinic billed separately for actual medical screening. In our opinion they were deliberately ambiguous. Disqualified Candidate: Our only requirement was that our GC live in Las Vegas. They matched us with someone requiring expensive travel who our clinic said was previously screened (for other parents also matched by Genesis) and she needed and expensive serious surgery before she could carry a child. Genesis knew she was not medically qualified, yet spent our money on premium travel for a second medical screening. Budget Bait-and-Switch: Before signing we were promised a budget of $110,000-$125,000. After signing their contract they told us they were not responsibility for keeping any budget and would not honor anything they had previously told us by phone or email. Contract Termination: When we questioned expenses, they unilaterally terminated our contract without any discussion.
Catharine Murray, our founder and CEO, brings 25 years of family building experience to our team. She finds great satisfaction in her job and is dedicated to helping families grow.
Samantha is Catharine's right hand helper. She assists with daily tasks and duties to help everything run smoothly- including finances, design, and communication.
Valerie is a four-time surrogate with three boys of her own. Valerie is extremely passionate about helping others start or expand their families through surrogacy as an Intended Parent Coordinator. She has worked in the surrogacy field for the past five years assisting surrogates and intended parents to navigate their journeys with care and expertise. When she’s not supporting others on their path to parenthood, Valerie enjoys travel, spending time with her family, and being outdoors.
Anna assists future intended parents (IP) in creating their family through surrogacy. She went through surrogacy herself to make her dream of motherhood come true. Since then, she decided to share her strong understanding and expertise as IP journey coordinator. She offers friendly tailor-made supportive service in French, English or German for IPs all along their journey.
Alana is a 4 time experienced surrogate. She feels that parenthood is a gift that everyone should experience. She loves working for Genesis Rising and is passionate about helping women who desire to give the ultimate gift of family.
Summer is an experienced surrogate. Her passion is to help build families so they can experience the love and joy she has had in her own life. She goes by the African Proverb, "It takes a village to raise a child", and feels blessed to be able to be a part of each journey.
Linzi is an experienced surrogate who is passionate about connecting our surrogates to the community and each other. She loves running our support group and showing face in the Las Vegas community. She is also a case manager for some IP(s) and surrogates.
