We are a full-service agency for surrogates and intended parents. With the creation and implementation of our fixed fee programs for IPs, this has tremendously benefited our surrogates as well in offering them financial security that is not yet available elsewhere in the industry. We are able to guarantee compensation and coverage of medical bills to our surrogates as our agency financially backs all of our intended parents. For example, god forbid something happened and IPs had to file for bankruptcy during the pregnancy, Circle is able to guarantee financial coverage to the surrogate via our fixed fee programs. With our full service approach, we also have a variety of specialists in house that work cohesively together to provide a comprehensive journey experience so that the services a surrogate needs do not feel disjointed as may happen when service providers are not located under one roof. Surrogates all have a program coordination team to help them with the logistics of their journey, a support social worker that checks in monthly for emotional support (and is available any time outside of the regular check ins through post partum), a trust accountant liaison, medical billing coordinator and contract attorney. We have an active private Facebook community and we offer support groups throughout the year for women to connect with each other. We support local meet ups for women to spend time together face-to-face in their area and host "Surrogate Social Hour" quarterly to help women make connections in the Circle community remotely. We also have a bi-annual Experienced Carrier Week where we celebrate our experienced surrogates and the amazing gifts they have given to their intended parents!

My experience with Circle has been frustrating and disappointing. I hope that by sharing my story, others can make an informed decision and avoid the headaches that I have encountered. As a current IP with Circle, my experience has been disappointing. Despite paying ~55K and waiting for over 21 months, I have not received the level of service that was promised. Circle assured me of a 12-14-month matching timeline and the ability to work with my clinic (located in the West Coast), but the two profiles they shared did not meet my clinic’s requirements. Had I not thoroughly reviewed them, I would have spent money and time on unnecessary testing. Circle did not offer any concessions for the delay, other than an apology and an explanation that “things are difficult.” I have eliminated my matching preferences, and yet to see any results. I feel let down by my decision to work with Circle. It is too late to switch to another agency, as I would have to start at the end of the line again after waiting for over 21 months. Circle would only refund me ~6K, without a full refund I can’t afford to switch to a different agency. Furthermore, I have encountered several issues during the egg donation matching process. Their database contains people who have not been fully vetted. The first egg donor candidate did not follow through after months from being selected, and the second was disqualified by Circle after months of completing the doctor review of bloodwork results and medical records. These issues could have been prevented if Circle had done their full due diligence before adding egg donors to their database. (I will continue to add more details in the review as I move through the process)
I have had a disappointing and stressful experience with this company at Circle Surrogacy. When I first started speaking with someone I forgot her name but she was very pleasant and understood as a new prospective surrogate I may have some questions and concerns before getting started after I finished nursing. Unfortunately when I contacted them back to get started because I was finish nursing I contacted circle surrogacy and they had me in communications with Kate Goerdt and that was a stressful process. She mentioned I was almost to the next process to matching with intended parents and I can come back after I completed my family, but unfortunately I wouldn’t be able to move on in the process because of my concerns and questions. The disappointing part is not being able to help the families that may come to this clinic for surrogates to help start or complete their families. I wish I could help but this isn’t the company I’d recommend to anyone at all. PLEASE READ REVIEWS BEFORE!!!!!

Having experienced fertility challenges when starting his own family, Sam understands firsthand the importance of support and help to fulfill dreams of parenthood. Sam and his wife are now blessed with two beautiful girls with the help of IVF.
John Weltman is a father through surrogacy, a lawyer and the founder of Circle Surrogacy and Egg Donation. He attended Yale University, Oxford University in England and the University of Virginia, from which he earned his Bachelor's, Master's and J.D. (law) degrees. He has practiced law all over the world, and is admitted for all purposes in Massachusetts, New York and California. He was the first to establish the right of couples to get insurance coverage for gestational surrogacy in Massachusetts, and has repeatedly obtained pre-birth orders, step-parent and second-parent adoptions for gay and straight couples and singles having children through surrogacy throughout the United States. He has also worked closely with lawyers and parents from six continents and more than 73 countries to get legal recognition of their children in their home countries.
Scott has been part of the Circle family since 2003. He graduated from Boston College, and then from Boston College Law School, and worked as the Director of Legal Services at Circle. In his current role as the Vice President of Client Services, Scott oversees the Circle team, as well as serving clients. He enjoys meeting with Intended Parents, whether in Boston, on Skype, or in their hometowns. He's proud to have been part of this company for so long, helping so many families grow. Scott is married with 3 beautiful children, and has been recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers each year from 2012 through 2017.
Dean has been part of the Circle Surrogacy family since 2004. In addition to his role as Circle’s Vice President of Legal Services, Dean is also an Attorney and the Chairman of the American Bar Association’s Committee on Assisted Reproductive Technology. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Richmond and his Law Degree from Suffolk University. Dean has managed thousands of ART matters over the course of his career and has organized and presented on many panels – both US and International - on the legal aspects of surrogacy and egg donation. Dean is also very involved in surrogacy and third party reproductive advocacy, drafting and testifying in support of legislation before the Massachusetts Legislature. In his current role as the Vice President of Legal Services, Dean oversees Circle Surrogacy’s full legal team, and works closely with Intended Parents on their journeys. He enjoys meeting with Intended Parents, whether in Circle’s offices or via Zoom, as well as visiting them in their hometowns throughout the world. Dean is married with 3 beautiful children and has been recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers and Boston Magazine each year since 2009.
Emily earned a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Pennsylvania. After graduate school, Emily worked with individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS in Philadelphia. She then worked with adolescents in a residential program, providing individual, group and family therapy. Emily started at Circle as a Journey Coordinator and now supports both the Program Coordinator team, the Pre-screening and Screening teams and is available as additional support to intended parents. Emily comes to Circle with her own history of infertility struggles and brings this experience and understanding to her role.
Kristin joined Circle in 2017 as Marketing Director. Prior to this role, Kristin worked at advertising and marketing agencies creating successful brand, digital and social campaigns for clients. Her personal experience brought her to Circle: Kristin and her husband are proud parents to their son thanks to Circle Surrogacy. Having been through the process, Kristin brings an experienced perspective to all of Circle's digital and social marketing, and is excited to use her marketing expertise for something for which she has so much passion.
Amanda received her Master of Social Work degree from Boston University and her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Boston College. Before coming to Circle, Amanda worked in the social work department at a local hospital, providing support to patients in Labor and Delivery. She also spent some time living in Chile and is excited to bring her Spanish language skills and multicultural perspective to the Circle team. Amanda oversees Circle’s team of Program Coordinators while continuing to assist intended parents along their journeys to create and expand their families.
Solveig earned her Master of Science in Social Work degree from the University of Texas at Austin School of Social Work. During her Master’s Program, she trained at two major hospitals in Texas. At these institutions, she worked primarily with women populations conducting psychosocial assessments, connecting patients and their families with local and national resources, collaborating with the interdisciplinary health team, as well as providing clinical support. Throughout her time at Circle, Solveig has guided surrogates on their journeys, as well as led the social work team in providing best-in-class surrogate support. As the Director of Surrogate Services, Solveig oversees the entire gestational surrogate process, from initial intake to matching and beyond.
