Absolutely useless facility if you’re a man trying to make this work. Terrible communication. If you aren’t a woman, and need to have anything done, they don’t care.

My wife and I had a terrible experience with Mainline Fertility. After my wife's initial consultation, she never got to speak with the doctor again. She was only prescribed fertility drugs, which we later discovered were ineffective for her condition of low ovarian reserve—a diagnosis they completely missed. We felt disrespected and decided to leave the practice. Unfortunately, the issues didn’t end there. After we left, the administrative staff became hostile and started processing our medical claims as out-of-network, despite previous claims being in-network. We've been trying to resolve these incorrect claims for over eight months now, and we are still receiving inaccurate bills. My wife continues to get calls for payments on services we haven't received in the last ten months, even though our insurance statements indicate we are fully paid. The lack of respect, incorrect diagnosis, and ongoing billing issues have caused us significant stress. We do not recommend Mainline Fertility to anyone seeking respectful and accurate medical care.

I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I am only 27 and my husband and I have been married for less than a year. To say this diagnosis has been shocking and difficult is an understatement. I will be starting chemotherapy this month, and my oncologist recommended I consult with MLF to obtain information about IVF and decide whether my husband and I wanted to pursue that. I had a virtual appointment with PA Annu Mathew. Both my husband and I went into this appointment feeling like IVF wasn’t for us. We had discussed this topic multiple times beforehand, but felt we wanted to make a fully informed decision so we thought it wouldn’t hurt to have the consult. At the end of the appointment, we were informed we needed to decide rather soon so we could start IVF as soon as possible. Someone from the financial team was supposed to call us to discuss cost before moving forward. It was very clear to us that no definitive decision regarding whether or not to do IVF was made at that time. The following day, I received a very un-informative email about financials. It basically just listed potential price ranges for each component/step. I was told we would receive a call to go everything and that did not happen. In the late afternoon, Annu called me to let me know that I should be receiving several emails containing consent forms, information packets, and the pharmacy would be calling me. I had never given the “go ahead” to start this process. When I had explained that my husband and I didn’t want to do IVF, she began laughing. She kept asking me “are you sure?”  She said that oncology patients are the highest priority at MLF and they wanted to get the ball moving ASAP. She made jokes that I would be getting a lot of emails and calls now and it was up to me to delete them, all while laughing. As someone who has worked in healthcare and is now an oncology patient, I cannot explain how incredibly inappropriate it is for a healthcare professional to be laughing with a patient. I don’t see what part of my situation is funny and I am deeply hurt by this. I recently underwent a double mastectomy as the first step in my cancer treatment, and not one time during that process has anyone laughed at my situation or made me feel like they were trying to sell me something. For the first time, I felt like dollar signs instead of an actual patient. I know not everyone may agree with our decision but to be disrespectful about it is absolutely absurd. I didn’t feel the need to hash out the reasons why IVF is not for us, if I had would it have been less of a joke? EDIT: MLF contacted me and seem to be taking my feedback seriously and say they are striving to make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else. I appreciate them reaching out and passing along their apologies.
