My wife and I were very disappointed with our experience here. My initial call to the Center was in search of a provider who could perform a reverse tubal ligation. I went so far as to provide the insurance billing code to make sure I was asking about the correct service. When my wife and I met with rhe provider, he flat out told us he does not l perform reverse tubal ligations anymore, and hasn't for years. He stated that he is the provider in the state who has the most experience with them, and despite that doesn't do them anymore. From that point onward, our consult became a very pointed effort to convince us to pursue IVF with the clinic. I understand that IVF is their specialty, but it was very clear that our stated goals (a consult for purposes of evaluating reverse tubal) were being ignored in favor of presenting us with a practiced and boilerplate adverising package. For instance, the provider wrote off a reverse tubal due to cost being similar to IVF, but our insurance actually covers a reverse tubal and not IVF. This was info that was not sought, and then dismissed out of hand when we brought it up. More distressingly, when my wife had a visit with a new gynecologist and mentioned the possibilty of a reverse tubal, the OBGYN reached out to the Center without prompting to inquire about a reverse tubal. The OBGYN was told that is not a service the Center provides. My wife and I feel like we were misled about the availability of a procedure simply to get us in the door and in front of a provider to receive an advertisement for IVF. It was very discouraging and has led us to consider other options for care if we move forward. The provider we met with was knowledgeable and the staff were friendly, but our wants and situation felt immaterial to the conversation and care we received. Additionally, no notes, ultrasound result, or record of the consult was posted on the online portal for us to access.
