Plan for flexibility rather than relying on a fixed 19- or 22-month estimate.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: Prepare embryos and your overall plan<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some intended parents create embryos before searching for a gestational carrier, while others begin both processes in parallel. A fertility clinic can advise how embryo availability, egg or sperm donation and any planned genetic testing affect the sequence.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2: Find and mutually match with a gestational carrier<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Intended parents may search through an agency, matching platform, referral or independent network. A profile is only a starting point.
