The timing of another stimulation cycle should be decided by the fertility clinic after you have recovered from the previous retrieval and your health, cycle history and prior response have been reviewed.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why recovery between cycles matters<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Egg donation involves ovarian stimulation followed by transvaginal egg retrieval. Temporary bloating, discomfort and hormonal effects are common, while complications such as ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, bleeding, infection or ovarian torsion are uncommon but important. A new cycle should not begin while you are still recovering or being evaluated for a complication.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Do you have to wait a specific number of weeks or months?<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Programs and clinics may have their own minimum intervals between donations. Rather than relying on a universal number, ask the physician responsible for the next cycle when it is medically appropriate for you to begin again. The answer can depend on menstrual recovery, symptoms, laboratory or ultrasound findings, how strongly you responded to medication and whether the previous retrieval was uncomplicated.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">You should be screened again<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prior approval does not automatically clear you for another donation. Clinics may update medical and family history, infectious-disease testing, medication information and other screening. Tell the team about any new diagnosis, pregnancy, surgery, medication or significant change in your family&#8217;s health history.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How timing differs from total cycle limits<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This page focuses on <strong>when<\/strong> another cycle may be considered after recovery.
