For many gestational carriers, compensation reflects the time, inconvenience, physical demands and risks involved in embryo transfer, pregnancy and delivery. The American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) considers financial compensation for gestational carriers ethically permissible when appropriate safeguards are in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How much do surrogates get paid?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There is no universal amount. A surrogate’s compensation package may depend on factors such as prior surrogacy experience, where she lives, the agency or program, insurance considerations and the negotiated gestational-carrier agreement. Do surrogates receive more for carrying twins?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
